Golden Retriever is a bigger-boned-size breed that was initially developed as a retrieving dog to use while hunting wild fowl. Males weight about 29 - 34 kg whereas females weigh about 27 - 32 kg, and measure between 20 and 24 inches tall at the withers. They're friendly, active and fun-loving. Also they are notorious for its affection to people and tolerance of children, and intelligence. They do well in obedience trials and are excellent assistance dogs. They love playing all day, specially with water.
